I have always really enjoyed going to the CSTA Annual Conference, and I have learned a lot from everyone.

Yesterday's keynote was really interesting. Colin Peterson talked about his experience with Meow Wolf and a lot about the process the team uses to build art installations. I loved that he identified tech as an art medium. He specifically talked about the Gremlin Symphony in Denver, my favorite part of Convergence Station.

Here are my take aways from day one:

  • Oracle Academy has lots of Java resources and they are all free. Teachers can create an account and then have up to 100 students in their section.

  • Amazon Future Engineer and Project STEM have created a series of lessons about CS careers called Brightest Futures. These are really cool and immediately ready to go.
